What does a Shopify store cost?

A Shopify store has two kinds of cost: Shopify’s monthly subscription, apps and payment fees, paid to Shopify and app developers; and the one-off cost of design and development. Development cost depends mainly on the number of custom templates, catalogue size, integrations and whether you are migrating. Lazapi gives a fixed written quote after a free consultation.

Migrations are quoted after a free assessment of your current store.

What affects the price

  • Number of templates and custom sections. More unique page designs mean more design and build time.
  • Catalogue size and data quality. Clean spreadsheets import quickly; messy data needs cleaning first.
  • Integrations. Couriers, ERPs and accounting connections add setup and testing.
  • Migration complexity. The source platform, order history and number of URLs to redirect.
  • Design. Styling a theme costs less than a full Figma design process.
  • Timeline. Very tight deadlines may need extra people on the project.

Shopify’s own costs

Separately from our fees, you pay Shopify a monthly subscription, plus any paid apps and payment processing fees. These vary by plan and country and change from time to time, so check Shopify’s official pricing page. We help you choose the right plan.

Pricing questions

Do you quote in INR or USD?

Both. Clients in India are quoted in INR and international clients in USD. The currency and payment schedule are set out in your written quote.

Are Shopify’s fees included in your price?

No. Shopify’s subscription, paid apps and payment processing fees are paid directly to Shopify and app developers. We help you choose a plan and apps that fit your budget.

Can I start small and add more later?

Yes. You can launch with a Starter or Growth package and add custom sections, integrations or a support plan as the store grows.

How do I get an exact price?
