Shopify Theme Customisation — Make Your Theme Truly Yours
Custom sections, product page upgrades, Dawn and premium theme edits, metafields and Online Store 2.0 blocks — built so your theme stays editable and update-safe.
Quick answer
Shopify theme customisation means adapting an existing theme, such as Dawn or a premium Theme Store theme, to fit your brand and the way you sell, without rebuilding from scratch. Lazapi adds custom sections and blocks, improves product and collection pages and connects metafields, while keeping everything editable in Shopify’s theme editor.
Common reasons merchants come to us
-
01
The store looks like everyone else’s
Small, deliberate changes to layout, typography and sections make a theme feel like your brand.
-
02
Product pages don’t answer questions
Size charts, specifications, delivery estimates and FAQs belong on the product page, not in support emails.
-
03
Edits break when the theme updates
Code pasted straight into theme files makes updates painful. We build changes as clean, documented sections.
-
04
Apps doing jobs the theme could do
Every app adds scripts. Simple features are often faster and cheaper as a few lines of theme code.

Questions we hear often
Will customisation stop me updating my theme?
Not if it is done carefully. We build changes as separate sections, snippets and settings where possible and keep a change log. A heavily customised theme still needs care when a new version comes out, so we can merge updates for you as part of a support plan.
Can you customise any premium theme?
Yes. We work with themes from the Shopify Theme Store and most third-party themes. We review the theme’s code before quoting, because the quality of the starting theme affects how long changes take.
Do you charge by the hour or by the project?
Both. Work with a clear scope gets a fixed quote. Ongoing small changes suit hourly blocks or a monthly support plan, so you are not waiting for a new quote each time.
Will my store go offline while you work?
No. We build on an unpublished duplicate of your live theme and share a preview link. The live store keeps selling until you approve and we publish.
Can I edit the new sections myself?
Yes. New sections come with settings in Shopify’s theme editor, so your team can change text, images, colours and layout options without touching code.
